Have you ever received more than what you expected out of a vacation? I have, thanks to Royal Caribbean. I was lucky enough to be invited aboard Mariner of the Seas to experience the ships $90 million amplification plan and I wanted to share my trip with you.
I honestly did not know what to expect. I always had the notion that cruises where “cheesy”, but as soon as I walked onto the deck, I knew I was ready to create the richest memory-making moments. From enjoying craft cocktails in The Bamboo Room, dinning at the most elegant restaurants like Jamie’s Italian by Jamie Oliver (best pasta I have had in years), shopping at some premier stores, to stepping into virtual reality on the deck’s Sky Pad, Mariner of the Seas tailored to all my luxe needs.
The excitement continued outside of the ship on some private island tours. First stop, CocoCay where we had the opportunity to experience the beginning of the ultimate thrill seeking island. I cannot even begin to finish all the wonderful amenities they will offer, but I am most looking forward to Coco Beach Club (overwater cabanas for a laidback luxury experience), Up, Up and Away (a 450 feet ride on a helium balloon which oversees the island), and Oasis Lagoon (the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool).
In the mean time, we relaxed in cabanas, sipped on Coco Loco’s, and relaxed under the sun and in the clearest waters.
Our second stop was on the most Instgrammable paradise I have ever seen! Pearl Island is a true gem, full of beautiful coral reefs and adventures. We started off by signing up for snorkeling where we discovered their vibrant reefs. After, we explored the beautiful light house that overlooked the entire island. We finished off the day with the best lobster tail I have ever had! I truly cannot wait to go again.
Our last evening was bitter sweet! We decided to say, “until next time” to the Royal Caribbean family at Chops Grill where we toasted over memories of the cruise, and celebrated a surprise engagement. Here, I realized how amazing it was that total strangers bonded closely in only 48 hours. I will forever be grateful for the memories I was able to experience aboard Mariner of The Seas, thanks to Royal Caribbean.
