Three Tips on Wearing Pastel Pink

Nothing says feminine and chic than pastel pink, but sometimes we can overdo it. This spring and summer it is all about keeping it edgy, simple, and balanced.

I decided to center my look around my BCBG generation faux leather jacket! I posted it on Instagram letting you know how excited I was to create an outfit with it. When putting together this outfit I stuck to three rules that will be useful for you as well when wearing pastel tones:

1. Make it edgy and cool: When you think pastel, you usually associate it will frilly dresses and polka dots. This spring and summer change it up and make pastel cool by choosing clean cut lines like my jacket. My crop top and sandals also have defined lines that keep the look sleek and edgy.

2. Keep it simple: It is at easy as it sounds! do not over-do the detailing in accessories or layering. Keep your hair and make up simple and to accessorize throw on some dark shades to bring attention to your face.

3. Balance out the colors: I chose blue as a secondary color to my pastel jacket, this creates a subtle contrast and pulls the whole look together. I also chose white and beige to bring more attention to the jacket and jeans.

You can never go wrong wearing pastel this season with these three rules!
